Virtual Box
VirtualBox is a powerful x86 virtualization product. What is that you say? Well...It is a technology that lets you run a "virtual computer" on your computer. Say you are a Linux newbie, like I was about a 2 years ago (and still am), and you want to play with it without dual booting , installing another hard-drive, or the like. You create a "virtual machine" and run the OS in this program in Windows. Keep in mind all of this is "virtual." It is a program running in your host operating system. You can install Linux or most any other OS on as many virtual machines as you want letting you play and experiment with no harm to your real computer.
